Challenge

As the original article of the machine is no longer produced, there were two options for the line: it could either have been recycled or retrofitted for a new article. The customer chose option two, so HAHN offered and carried out the complete refurbishment of the machine. 

The components were heavily contaminated with dirt and severely worn, impacting reliability and performance. Additionally, the relocation process added complexity, as the line required refurbishment to ensure seamless operation at the new site. This combination of issues led to frequent breakdowns, inefficiencies, and increased maintenance efforts.

 

Developing a Solution

HAHN Automation Group executed a complete refurbishment of the automation line for coupling rod production. This included thorough cleaning of all components, the renewal of sheet metal and door windows, and ensuring the line was fully operational after relocation. By integrating expert solutions, the team restored performance, enhanced reliability, and extended the line’s lifespan, meeting the customer’s needs effectively.
